This page presents a list of projects called “sister” due to the proximity of the values they carry.

Gender-SMART is about achieving gender equality in Research Performing and Research Funding Organizations operating in the agricultural and life sciences research field. This field, essential to humanity and strongly affected by gender biases, is of specific relevance to implement changes aiming at making research more open to societal challenges. Gender-sensitive institutional strategies and research actions will generate enhanced, relevant and fully inclusive innovation processes.

ACT

Promoting Communities of Practice to advance knowledge, collaborative learning and institutional change on gender equality in the European Research Area.

Baltic Gender

Baltic Gender is an EU-funded project that brings together eight scientific institutions in five countries around the Baltic Sea to work on reducing gender inequalities in Marine Science and Technology.

CALIPER

CALIPER is dedicated to support its partners (seven project Research Performing Organisations and two Research Funding Organisations)  to design and implement the Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) to influence structural changes that brings gender balance and a greater engagement of female researchers to STEM research and innovation field.

CASPER

The CASPER project examines the feasibility of establishing a European award/certification system for gender equality for Research Performing Organizations.
The project runs for two years from January 2020 to December 2021″

CHANGE

The main aim of CHANGE is to support research performing organisations (RPOs) to design and implement gender equality plans. This will be achieved by involving key actors, called Transfer Agents (TAs), within each organisation who will together with the core consortium partners transmit co-produced gender equality knowledge inside their institutions.

DIAMOND

DIAMOND project analyses and converts data into knowledge with notions of impartiality to support gender inclusion in current and future transport systems from the perspective of women as transport users and as professionals in the sector.

EQUAL-IST

 

EQUAL-IST project aims at introducing structural changes in research organizations to enhance gender equality within ICT (Information and Communications Technology) institutions by creating a basis for increasing the share of Gender in IST research.

EQUAL4EUROPE

The EU-funded EQUAL4EUROPE project focuses on the fields of Art, Humanities, Medicine, Social Sciences, Business & management and Law (AHMSSBL). This project explicitly moves away from the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

GE Academy

 

GE Academy is an Horizon 2020 project developing and implementing a high-quality capacity-building programme on gender equality in research, innovation and higher education.

GEARING ROLES

In line with the call goals, GEARING-Roles targets the questioning and transformation of traditional gender roles at the micro, meso, and macro levels, with four main Objectives: Female career progression, Education and Research, Leadership and decision-making, Promotion of Gender Equality in Research Organisations and key stakeholders for the reinforcement of ERA.

GEDII

Gender Diversity Impact – Improving research and innovation through gender diversity is funded by the European Union under the program Horizon 2020.

GEECCO

The “Gender Equality in Engeneering through Communication and Commitment” project adresses the underrepresentation of women that characterises the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

GENERA

GENERA is a Horizon 2020 project aiming at continuing, monitoring and improving the Gender Equality Plans of Research Institutions and Organisations specifically in the physics research field.

GENDERACTION

GENDERACTION promotes GENDer equality in the ERA Community To Innovate policy implementatiON. Its aim is to create an innovative policy community to implement the gender priority in the ERA.

 

Gendered Innovations

Gendered Innovations offers methods of sex and gender analysis to stimulate gender-responsible science and technology, thereby enhancing the quality of life for women, men, and gender-diverse people worldwide.

GenPORT is a portal on gender & science resources. Browse all resources submitted by the GenPORT community! You can contribute your own resources or resources by others that you consider important by registering and uploading.

GENDER-NET Plus

Despite efforts to reduce fragmentation across the European Research Area, the European scientific system is still facing challenges in achieving gender equality and gender mainstreaming in research and innovation. In this context, and in line with ERA policy goals and national contexts, the GENDER-NET Plus ERA-NET Cofund was launched September 15, 2017 and will run until 2022.

GenderTARGET

TARGET will contribute to the advancement of gender equality in research and innovation by supporting a reflexive gender equality policy in seven Gender Equality Innovating Institutions in the Mediterranean basin – including research performing organisations; research funding organisations and a network of universities.

GRANteD

GRANteD is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. It will investigate the occurrence and causes of gender bias in the allocation of research grants.

LeTSGEPs

The EU-funded LeTSGEPs project intends to connect several research-performing organisations to plan and perform actions that will result in systemic institutional transformation concerning gender prejudices. LeTSGEPs will promote the use of gender budgeting (GB) to face discrimination against women by integrating them in the budgetary process, aiming to eliminate marginalisation and exclusion from economic and political activities.

LIBRA

The overarching goal of the LIBRA project is to increase the representation and participation of women in leadership positions in life sciences.

R&I PEERS

The R&I PEERS project aims to create and validate pilot experiences that disrupt gender-biased approaches and unconscious rules which limit participation by and careers for women in Research and Innovation. The R&I PEERS project promotes a concept of gender equality that can best be expressed as “women and men enjoy the same status and have equal opportunity to realize their full human potential to contribute to political, economic, social and cultural development, and to benefit fully from the results.”

PLOTINA

PLOTINA develops self-tailored gender equality plans for teaching and research organisations. Project funded by the EU in the HORIZON 2020 framework.

SAGE

SAGE (Systemic Action for Gender Equality) is an EU-Horizon 2020 funded project designed to seek stronger action on gender equality in higher education and research.

SPEAR

The focus of the H2020 SUPERA project is on gender equality in scientific research because the research and higher education sector has peculiarities that require specific action to overcome the situation we call “gender gap”. H2020 project focusing on the development and sustainable implementation Gender Equality Plans in academia and research. SPEAR will initiate institutional change in nine European Research Performing Organisations (RPOs).

SUPERA

TARGETED-MPI (Transparent and Resilient Gender Equality through Integrated Monitoring Planning and Implementation) is a Horizon 2020 project that aims to tackle gender inequality in Business and Management schools through the development, effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Gender Equality Plans

UniSAFE

UniSAFE is an EU-funded project that aims to support higher education, research organisations and policymakers in eradicating gender-based violence in the European academic and research area.
