The CIRAD, as data controller acting as coordinator of the Gender SMART Project consortium, ensures the privacy of the Users on the Website, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, dated April 26th 2016 and known as General Data Protection Regulation (hereafter “GDPR”).

Personal data processing operations

Users are hereby informed that personal data communicated through the Website or its services may be processed as follows :

  • Contact form

In order to handle your requests for contact or information, your personal data is collected through a contact form as part of Cirad’s legitimate interest to communicate on the Project.
Your data is retained only as long as necessary to handle your request and cannot be retained after the end of the Project.

  • Member account

In order to facilitate collaborative work for members of the Project, a member account allows you to log in so as to access common tools and content. As part of the contractual logging process, your ID and password, as well as the history of your logs on the Website, are processed based on the execution of a contract as part of the Project’s consortium agreement.
They may not be retained any longer than the duration of the project.

  • Cookies

This website uses Google analytics and therefore transmits informations for the purpose of traffic statistics.

  • Personal data security

In general, your personal information may be used only by authorised CIRAD agents or contractual processors, as far as needed for indicated purposes. Such information is neither communicated to third parties, nor retained any longer than necessary to achieve those purposes, without prejudice to applicable storage obligations.

In any case, the CIRAD implements appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to ensure an adequate level of security for personal data collected and processed on the Website or through associated services.

  • Data subjects’ rights

Users have a right to ask for access, rectification, erasure, and portability (when applicable) of their data, and to object or ask for restriction of its processing. These rights may be exercised writing to the CIRAD GDPR team, via email (dpo@cirad.fr) or postal mail (DPO – Direction Régionale Montpellier Occitanie – Avenue Agropolis – TA 178/04 – 34398 Montpellier Cedex 5 – FRANCE). Data subjects also have a right to place a request with the competent data protection authority (CNIL for France).

Users also have a right to indicated wishes concerning handling of their personal data in the event of their death.
